The Zombies Rise to Record New Album after 50 Years Together

Over the past couple of years, they have reunited to perform “Odyssey and Oracle” in its entirety. In celebration of their 50 years since forming, the Zombies will record a new album. Rod Argent, the man who founded the band in 1961 and later formed the prog-rock project Argent, reports to Classic Rock magazine that the project is “two-thirds finished,” and the band is thus far happy with the results. However, the recording will not include all of the original Zombies, as original guitarist Paul Atkinson passed away in 2004, and bassist Chris White and drummer Hugh Grundy have not yet signed on. However, after the record’s release, Argent hopes they will join the band on stage for a gig or two.
